Oil seals arrived from zpower yesterday. Fitted them earlier which seems to have stopped the flood.
Oil Leak
I know what this is now..I missed that there are meant to be some oil seals for the bits that pass through the transmission cover..the bit that Anarchy Motorcycles still has! Anyway, parts on order from ZPower while a tray slowly fills under the bike. Brake Bleeding ..or should I say bleeding brakes! Ive been struggling with the front off and on now for a few weeks. I even purchased a vacuum pump based bleeding kit which sort of speeds things up. With help from Josh over the weekend I managed to get both front and rear brakes bled so that the pads grip the disc ok. The front still doesn't fell quite right though as the level doesn't fully return but i guess this may be a 'feature'. It seems that with everything electrically connected the battery drains flat within a 24hr period. After a while troubleshooting this I have isolated it down to the ECU - oh, great! There's nothing obvious like a blackened component so I need to try and get hold of a circuit diagram. Update:Given the battery drain something should be getting hot. After connecting the ECU with it removed from the metal case I noted that the large power transistor is running hot all of the time. This really shouldn't be the case and after a bit of research (thanks Tony) it looks like it may be used to drive the fuel pump. This all fits in as i noted that the pump doesn't seem to be working (yet) and the filter is empty. The troubleshooting guide I have says that the pump should run when applying 12v across its terminals - a job for tomorrow. UPDATE 20th Oct 2013The 2SD412 is used to drive the Injectors not to drive the fuel pump as I previously thought.
